Great top 5, I really enjoyed it. Did the Yes Typo change much since your last review? I’m looking at a typo this year, but I’m trying to decide between 159W or 163W for size 13 and 220lbs. Thank you

Between this Typo and the last review they tweaked the core a little bit. Best way to describe this Typo is that it’s more like the one two versions ago which rode awesomely.

Looking at getting a backcountry/jump board. Really like those options, but many of them aren’t easy to find… any other you’d think of?

If you’re looking for more backcountry I’d probably go with something else. Maybe an Endeavor Scout or even the Clout with the revamped shape. Could probably do a Ride SmokeScreen or even get into one of the Pig series. Might like the Yes Standard.

        Hey Angry
Endeavor is pretty hard to find… what do you think of Navigator? Seems like a legitimate candidate… or is that too much of a pow board? As far as I see it’s not wide, taper isn’t extreme. Donno about setback and flex!? Can you feed me on that… that boars seems like a good mix of pow and freestyle, am I right?

Haven’t ridden it so can’t really comment on it. But knowing that my friends solely ride it for pow and banked slalom and 0 freestyle I gotta go with a pass on that.

How would you compare the flex of the Typo to the National? Which would you prefer for advanced all-mountain freestyle on the east coast? Maybe 20% park, the rest popping off everything on groomers and some trees to keep things interesting.

National is a little stiffer in the tips and torsionally. It also has more pop.

    Hey,

What’s the the better rad dad board (50% park 50% resort riding) between the super DOA and the Mega Merc?

After something with plenty of pop that can still occasionally hit the jib line.

    Cheers

Sounds like you would do better with the Super DOA.

I’m looking at a a 21/22 RIDE ALGORYTHM vs a Typo. Which board in your opinion is more aggressive and free ride oriented? I like to ride real fast, lay trenches, jump off rocks, etc.
