Conditions: A mix of sun and clouds, average temps, perfect corduroy, and some left over pow and ice for good measure.
Flex: Once again we have another park board with that middle of the road flex. There’s softer tips and then it’s stiffer at the insert pack, and gets softer through the middle where the dip in the camber is. The torsional flex is abundant but provides some rebound.
Stability: This board is super lively so you will feel everything with it. There’s a ton of chatter in the tips and it’s only mildly more stable under foot. In rutted out terrain this board will get bucked around and you will feel everything.
Ollies: This board is a bit soggy with how it rebounds which means that it has a delay before it snaps. It’s predictable to a point but nothing to write home about.
Pop On Jumps: Small and medium jumps are what this board is suited to. Its a bit laid back snap off the lip so you’re better suited to let the jump do the work.
Butterability: This board is super playful and easy to press with. It has very little fight when you press into the nose or tail. You can just bend this to your every whim.
Jibbing: It presses easily enough but if you put too much effort into this it will fold so just tone it down a little bit. It locks in and holds it to a point. Going sideways with the dip in the center you end up sliding a bit more under the front or back foot.
Carving: This board rolls from edge to edge quickly enough, but when you drive this board hard the tail will kick out. Medium mellow carves or slow carves are it’s strong suit. High speed hard carves it just doesn’t have enough flex to match it.
Rider in Mind: Park rider that wants something soft.
Personal Thoughts: The last time I rode this board I really dug it, this time not so much. The camber profile seems more exaggerated and pronounced which makes it less responsive and easier to press. It just wasn’t anything special in my opinion.
