There seems to be a lot of hype around this, still not sure why? Can anyone explain that too me? Seems like it’s just a feel good video of a bunch of big pro’s riding together having fun, you can get the same thing from smaller companies. Oh well check it out.

I think that's what makes it so appealing. A bunch of pretty decent names (and sponsors) just having fun. It's snowboarding. No huge pressure, just a bunch of shreds kicking back and having fun.
Who cares how big the sponsors are. Isn't that what snowboarding is about? Riding with your friends and just having a blast.

Yeah but there's a lot of other videos with good riders just kicking it, it just so happens Videograss is like a million times more popular than them, which is wierd.
I dunno why there's so much hype around it. Propaganda?
I'm not even talking about any sort of hype. I could care less about hype. Big or small companies and riders, if the video has great shots, fun riders and pure snowboarding, then I'm game.
I could care less if it said 'Videograss' or 'MDP' or 'We filmed this with our mom's camera from the garage'. If the flick is good, it won't matter who did it.
Trust me. I know of all these small film crews and riders, I live in the mecca of shred/ski ville. And there's nothing more than I want then to see small companies/film crews to get their time. It'll come.
And to be honest, that was the first time I saw any sort of teaser or info on the crew from the OP.

The only reason this film gets more hype from the bigger media outlets is because of who is attached to it.
Go look at TWSnow, Snowboarder, and Snowboard mag. Tell me if the littler guys are getting as much hype up as this film. I've watched the little updates they do every week for it on snowboardermag.com and honestly I'm like what gives? It's right up there with who the hell is Will Tuddenham?
the reason this film is getting alot of hype is because they are bringing snowboarding back to snowboard videos. no helicopters or wannabe gangster lifestyle shot or slow motion on every trick. plus its got a heavy list of riders. im pumped for it because all of my favorite riders are in it. jonas michilot, louie paradise, nick dirks, keegan valaika hell yeah its gonna be sick
So snowboarding videos didn't have snowboarding eh? Lets put it this way if this video had a whole bunch of no namers would anyone care? No they wouldn't. Novel concept to throw pro's into a video that all the under rated riders have been doing for a while.
angry snowboarder, you honestly need to stop. whats so confusing to you about a really good video with really good snowboarders in it?
and of course no one would care if it was a bunch of no namers (not to be a dick)… but thats why they are pro snowboarders… they have earned it wether you like it or not. they have worked hard to get where they are at, and now kids want to see them snowboard.
and why are you so butt hurt about will tuddenham? he is a good guy that works his ass off to film a video part with no support from sponsors. he is raw which is something you should be happy about. there are pleanty of kids that come from out of nowhere and make a name for themselves… and he is just another one of those kids. but he has done it with hard work and little money. if you ever have a chance to meet Will you will get it.
So I should stop on my own site that I run, that I own, that I dictate what content is put on? Please I can do what I want with this and if it means I want to ask a question about why this movie is getting hyped up so be it.
HAHA they earned it. The one great thing about this recession is the fact companies are cutting who they sponsor. There's too many people that have 1 or 2 tricks on lock down and a friend that rides for a company getting them pro status. I see kids every day out here that kill it on a daily basis with no sponsors. If they truly deserve they'll make it, maybe that's Will Tuddenham's thing maybe not. Personally I never heard of him until this movie popped up, but he's getting hyped up a lot. Is he the next big thing or the next Chris Demolski?
Like I said all this movie is, is a rip off of what little companies have been doing for years. But lets slap the "putting the fun back in snowboarding" tag line on it or "by riders for riders" or better yet "because snowboarding is too serious we'll make it fun again."
well i didnt mean you needed to stop with the content… i guess i jumped the gun there. and i get what you are saying, im just trying to say that obviously kids are going to want to watch a movie with there favorite pro snowboarders in it. thats why its getting hype. but there are plenty of no name kids that have already done what video grass is doing. your right.
Will has been filming with Team Thunder since there very beginning. thats where he started out i think. i dont know how big he will get but i heard he worked hard, got hurt a bunch, but still managed to get a part. whatever though, i just get hyped for up comers regardless.
i dont know why i got so worked up about either issue. people have different opinions about everything, ESPECIALLY in snowboarding.
