Hey Angry, there’s a lot of boards I “want” that don’t match up with what I “need.” I want to rip pow, but I need something that cuts through the chunky mashed potatoes of the PNW. What characteristics in a board should I look for that can help bust through cascade concrete without buckling through tracked out trails?

You want something damp, reactive, with good edge hold, and has power off the tail when loaded up. Gnu Gremlin or a Yes Optimistic would be good boards to look at.

        Hi Angie.

I am looking for something similar… powder board in the PNW where condition can get packed / chunky / heavy by midday.

Any particular reason you recommend Gremlin over Orca?

Thanks in advance. Appreciate your reviews 🙂

          Lovely auto correct.

You want camber go Gremlin, you want to be a bit more laid back go Orca.

Jones Hovercraft is another pow option that can handle late day mashed potatoes
