By Angrysnowboarder @angrysnowboard · On November 15, 2020

Welcome to Top 5’s where your host decides what their top 5 picks are. You might agree with them, you might disagree with them, but the fact of the matter is you’re watching them. In this episode Avran takes a look at what he thinks are the Top 5 All Mountain Freeride Boards for 2020-2021. This is by no means a definitive list, but this is what he’ll be recommending to people. As 2020 has been a shit-storm of a year this and every other subsequent Top 5 is using different metrics to pick the list.

It’s the old Tom Sims essentially with a softer flex pattern. If you want a cambered Never Summer I guess go for it.

Ive got three days on it so far this season and they were all mostly groomers. dipped off the side and into some trees and was good not as floaty as some but easily workable. On machine groomed this board is my favorite ive ever ridden, truly amazeballz

Which of these would you recommend for an intermediate-advanced rider in Colorado conditions. Mostly riding at Keystone. I want something that can rail a carve but won’t demand that I be on the top of my game 100% of the time. I already have a pow board and a park board.

I would probably just go with the Rome Ravine Select or Dropout.

Thanks! I’ll give the Dropout a shot. What size would you recommend? size 9 boot, 155 lbs.

Hello. Why did the Niche Maelstrom fall off your list this year? Is there a big difference between the ‘20 and ‘21?

Was thinking about picking up a 160 Maelstrom but I already have 157 Mercury and a 167 Rossi XV. Would there be too much overlap?
    Thanks!
