Camber Option: Quad Camber. Basically traditional camber with a micro rocker in the tips.

Bindings: Rome Black Label

Stance: 21.5 Wide 15 Negative 12 Goofy

My Weight: 200lbs

Resort: Copper Mountain

Conditions: Sunny blue skies, warm temps, zero wind, slush, chop, chunder, perfect corduroy, and just typical warmed up mid season conditions.

Flex: Right away you can feel the difference between this and the regular Huck Knife now. It’s taken the carbon from the Assassin series and put into it. This makes it a stiffer freestyle flex with more pop. The tips are a little softer than the middle of the board but not by much. The torsional flex is there but it’s been reduced which changes how you can ankle steer this board.

Stability: This board is a lot more smooth and stable than last years. It pushes through chop and chunder with ease. At speeds there’s less chatter in the tips which means you feel less underfoot. Overall just go fast with this thing.

Ollies: When you load the camber profile up and believe me you will need to load it up that snap is there, it rebounds and you get air. This board wants to launch off everything.

Pop On Jumps: Here’s where this board stands out. Small jumps become launch ramps, bigger features become mega booters. The snap off the lip is amplified from the addition of carbon to the core now. It is a board designed for bigger features.

Butterability: You will have to man handle this thing to butter with it and put your leg muscles to good use. That’s not a problem though as this is a slopestyle type of board meaning more speed and more power equals better results. So if you want a board that fights you to butter here you are, if you’re lazy go grab the regular version.

Jibbing: A little speed and muscle goes a long way. You have to press twice as hard to lock into a nose or tail press but it’s worth it because the rebound you get out of it will send you over the landing and away from any rut that might be there. When you go sideways the board ever so slightly cradles the feature but it does so in a way that lets you know you’re locked in and not going to die.

Carving: Here’s where this stands out compared to the regular HK. This is a board you can lay it over harder with and the tail won’t fold. Sure there’s limitations with the sidecut on ice but due to the fact this needs to be ridden a little harder it compensates for that ever so slightly by just ripping through the snow faster. The edge to edge transmission is fluid and quick. Short tight carves or long hard drawn out ones it has everything covered.

Rider in Mind: High end park rider.

Personal Thoughts: This rides so different than last years. It has no separated itself from the regular Huck Knife to the point there’s no hesitation this is for the harder charging rider. The snap is more responsive and while yes the board is stiffer and takes more effort to engage it’s worth it.
