Camber Option: Traditional camber.
Bindings: Rome Black Label
Stance: 21.5 Wide 15 Negative 12 Goofy
Boots: K2 Thraxis Size 10
My Weight: 200lbs
Resort: Copper Mountain
Conditions: A mix of sunny skies with some clouds, low winds, warm temps, slush, chop, chunder, and corduroy.
Flex: This has that predictable middle of the road park flex. It has an even consistent flex from tip to tail with a little bit of torsional flex.
Stability: This board is actually surprisingly stable for being a park board. There’s a little chatter at speed in the tips but overall this board is smooth yet lively.
Ollies: This board has some pop. You load the camber up and it just rebounds immensely and gets you in the air. This board is great for launching off sidehits, rollers, and everything you can.
Pop On Jumps: This board is at home hitting jumps from small to medium. Bigger jumps it may wash out a little on the landing. With this being camber dominate it pops off the lip with ease and boosts.
Butterability: When you press into the nose or tail there’s a ton of rebound from the carbon in there. Be aware of that and understand that you have to get your weight out over the tips and really press into it.
Jibbing: A little speed is key with this board and when you press it. It locks in great and has a ton of snap out of the end. When you get sideways it slightly cradles the feature without clapping out.
Carving: It’s not the most aggressive sidecut but it does turn. You get a solid edge to edge power transmission that’s fluid but not overly nimble. On edge it locks in and you can drive the carve with a bit of effort but it won’t lay over completely for a hard Euro carve. Short tight quick carves and mellow medium carves are really it’s strong suit.
Rider in Mind: All around park guy that wants camber.
Personal Thoughts: This board surprised me with its overall flex, it rode stiffer than I thought it would be and took a little more effort to press it but the rebound out was super solid. For what this board is it got the job done and did it how I would have expected it didn’t have that familiarity of a board you’ve ridden a 100 days but it was predictable in how it rode.
