Board: Yes Jackpot
Size: 154
Camber Option: Camber. Good old fashioned camber.
Bindings: Rome Black Label
Stance: 21.5 Wide 15 Negative 12 Goofy
Boots: K2 Thraxis Size 10
My Weight: 200lbs
Resort: Copper Mountain
Conditions: Overcast skies with waves of blue, high winds, warmer temps, ice, chunder, frozen groomers, frozen ground, slush, and pretty much every spring condition imaginable.
Flex: This has your standard middle of the road park flex. Softer tips, stiffening up mid way back to the insert pack and keeping that flex through the middle while coupled with a decent amount of torsional give to it. This makes it a highly predictable park board.
Stability: It’s about as stable as any other park board like it on the market. You get chatter in the tips at high speeds especially in variable terrain. Underfoot is a bit more stable but can get knocked around in more rutted out terrain and what not.
Ollies: Having full camber is nice as it just adds more pop to this board. Load it up and it will react and snap. This board has solid snap and is very predictable with how it’s going to react when you load it up.
Pop On Jumps: This board feels fully at home on all types of jumps where small, medium, large, a hip, or some weird peace park configuration. The snap of the board works well in conjunction with the lip of the board to give you the performance you want.
Butterability: While it does have softer tips you will have to work against the camber profile to really get a good press going. Knowing how to leverage your weight out over the binding and holding it while flexing the board is key here. Once you get that down it locks in fine and holds but retains that fight.
Jibbing: This board needs a little muscle and some speed to get a good nose or tail press. It will fight you which can cause for it to slap down when you’re pressing. Going sideways the camber profile hugs the feature fine and does what it needs to do.
Carving: This board is great for doing park carves where you need that edge control to zip around features or people. It’s quick to engage and easy to control especially with that Midbite technology that gives more edge hold right at the insert pack. You can drive this board hard from the tail while center flexing it which lets you set a hard edge and lay it over from time to time. Short quick turns to medium carves are where it shines but laying it over from time to time is always a good thing.
Rider in Mind: Well rounded park rider.
Personal Thoughts: Adding camber to this board is a good thing. It gives it more pop and makes it ride with a bit more power. The edge control is superb on this thing and you notice that while it’s camber the Midbite really does let you ankle steer the board to change the arc of turns as needed. This board is playful where you want it but powerful where you need it.
Comparable Boards: Rome Agent, Telos Chillum, Nitro T1

Hey man, I’ve read several reviews and gone down a bit of a rabbit hole. I have just sold my old Capita DOA (I’m 175lbs, 6ft 1″ and US Size 10 Boot). I mainly ride indoors (UK based, it sucks) but have a trip in the mountains twice a year. I’m looking for a board that does well in park and can ride all mountain, I’ve got a Korua for carving and powder. I love the pop on the DOA and want something as good/better. Should I stick to the Capita DOA or go for the Yes Jackpot? Thanks if you’ve read this far!
You know what you like, why change that?
I mean you’ve got a point, but leaves me thinking whether the Yes Jackpot could be better…would you say it is has a similar pop?
It’s got more pop because it went full camber.
Hellow! I’m 6,1, 180, 11 And have put down a couple of 100 days on my 2016 150 Burton Nug flying V.
Love the skatefeel, but want more camber.
Want something that dosen’t feel like I’m going to catch an edge and smash my pretty face when I’m going sideways on the rails, is good on anything from side hits up to 50 feet, is butterable, fun in the pipe and can lay down some carves when my knees just can’t eat any more knuckles at the end of the day.
Should the Jackpot be my next companion, or should I look for something else?
Probably want something a little beefier than the Jackpot.
hey angry, thanks for your review!
how would you compare jackpot with t1…? almost the same?
+ i rode doa and springbreak twin 152 size and feel really comfortable( i weigh about 145lbs)
will jackpot 154 feel uncomfortable for me…? i spent most of my time in park
T1 is a little softer in the tips and feels more lively and less damp. At your weight I’d go smaller.
