Conditions: A mix of overcast skies with pockets of blue, cold temps, fresh powder, chunder powder, corduroy, ice, and death cookies.
Flex: Soft tips into a slightly stiffer mid section. This is that middle of the road volume shifted party board playful flex. There’s a decent amount of torsional flex.
Stability: At high speeds the tips flap aggressively, but the width helps compensate for this. In really rutted out terrain it can get knocked around.
Ollies: With the flat to rocker this board has a very skate like approach to how it pops. You want to ollie off something just snap at the last minute and you’ll engage this board. Is it the most snappy board out there? No, but it won’t suck either.
Pop On Jumps: It gets the job done even if the lip ends up doing a bit more of the work.
Butterability: This thing is fully designed for buttering. You have an ultra wide platform, softer tips, and rocker. So swivel and sizzle cause you are not going to have to worry about any variation you do. When it locks in, it locks in and it will hold till you want to get out of it.
Jibbing: There’s a lot of width with this board so that makes it stable for balancing on a feature. The rocker lets you press into anything with ease and you never feel like it’s loose or not locked in. When you want to pop out of a press just go for it. Getting sideways it balances and slightly hugs the feature.
Carving: This thing will rip a turn and you never have to worry about booting out due to the width. Is it designed for carving all the time? No, but it will get the job done. Short quick turns or mellow carves it just feels locked in and does what it needs to do.
Rider in Mind: Big footed freak or someone that wants a ultra wide powder twin that can handle the whole resort.
Personal Thoughts: I won’t lie this board will always hold a special place in my heart as I had a hand in designing it. It does what I wanted it to do when I set out to create it and I like that. It’s ultra wide, stable, yet playful, and above all else a good ride. If you need something wide and stable here you go.

Hey Angry, I’m 5’9″, 200 lbs, with a size 11 boot. What would you recommend: Lumberjack, Twinpig, or LJX?
It’s going to come down to what you predominately want it for.
I want it for butters, jibs, small to medium jumps, carving and freestyle riding on groomers. I don’t see much powder where I’m at unfortunately.
Any of them will work ask yourself what camber profile you want.
I’m really torn between the lumberjack and twinpig. Someone asked you to compare the two in the comments of your twinpig review and you said lumberjack all the way. What do you like better about the lumberjack?
