Board: K2 Manifest
Size: 156
Camber Option: Directional combination camber baseline. Directional camrocker.
Bindings: K2 Indy
Stance: 21.5 Wide 15 Negative 12 Goofy
Boots: K2 Thraxis Size 10
My Weight: 195lbs
Resort: Arapahoe Basin
Conditions: Sunny blue skies with a few clouds rolling in, zero wind, warmer temps, snow that was fast, somewhat firm, and spots of chunder.
Flex: Full directional twin flex. Softer nose, slightly stiffer middle, and then a stiffer tail. There’s a fair amount of torsional flex to it. Overall this flex is just past a middle of the road all mountain rating.
Stability: This board was super lively. You could feel everything under foot. Those micro vibrations just rocked through the board. It was the bigger stuff that it did a better job of plowing through or climbing over.
Ollies: There’s some snap in this board. You load that camber section up and it rebounds well enough. What you ideally want is to use the camber into the rocker zone as a flex/snap point and get it pop off that tail. When you do this board can pop.
Pop On Jumps: I didn’t hit anything big with this but the board can definitely handle jumps. It pops off the lip with ease and just sends it.
Butterability: The nose is easier to butter than the tail. You can get all your weight out over it and it will just lock in. The camber zone doesn’t aggressively fight you, it more or less lets you know it’s there and will help pop you out of any butter.
Jibbing: Nose presses were easy on this thing, the tail is a bit beefier so that took a little more work. This board is more on the freeride spectrum than freestyle so use a little speed and press a little harder than you think. The added bonus of camber between the feet is that it locks into railslides.
Carving: This board is fairly nimble edge to edge. I did notice a bit of wash out on more lower angle slow carves. But at high speeds railing this thing into the ground you can feel it grip and rip. That tail has a bit of power off it and you can drive it through the carve with ease.
Rider in Mind: All mountain freerider that dabbles in freestyle.
Personal Thoughts: I didn’t hate this board but I didn’t love it. There’s some fun drive off the tail and it’s like a mellower version of the Broadcast, but the fact that the edge would slip out on lower angle snow at slow speeds was a bit concerning. I’ve ridden a lot of directional twins this year and this one just didn’t live up to some of the others I’ve been on.

Yo,
Thanks for the review, how would you compare or rate this up against the rome national. Freeride, charge, bit of play, stability at speed and in that choppy lumpy crap. 173lbs 5,11″ 153 or 56?
Cheers.
New National got an overhaul and rides more like a park board less like a freeride board. This will be stiffer, more stable, and have a different sidecut to it making it better at carving. 56 for what you’re describing.
Boot 10.5, Bindings Rome Katana’s.
Thanks again
Heyyo,
Advice needed. I’m looking at getting either the Manifest or K2 party platter as my all in one board. I typically ride all mountain and like to get into powder and tree lines as much as possible. I don’t ride in the park so most focus would be groomers and all mountain powder. Im 6’4 220 ibs and size 11.5. Intermediate skill level. Any and all suggestion are appreciated!
Manifest.
Sounds good, thanks for the response! Would you go 157W, 160W or 164W at my height of 6’4″?
-Thanks!
Your height has nothing to do with it, it’s all about your weight. Get the 60w.
I’m looking at this vs the Endeavor Ranger. They both are at a great price right now. I would use it for resort riding and I like to ride real fast and send it off rollers and side hits. I dabble in the park but not that much. Any thoughts on which board to get or other recommendations?
Manifest for sure. It’s a bit stiffer and better at speeds.
Thanks Angry!
Manifest vs MTNpig as a Whistler quiver of one? high speed groomers, pow, slush, only hit the park late season. Love cruising on a big sidecut. Are K2 and Ride out of the same factory? Ride seems to have a lot more tech going on inside the boards.
They’re owned by the same company and share the same designer and factory.
You rate one over the other or kind of a dealers choice kinda thing? (Manifest vs Mtn PIG) quiver of one big west coast mtns…
Dealers choice.
