Summer Camp It’s Not Just For Kids

The summer shred season is in full swing and all the little kids are stoked to be going to one of the fun time summer camps in North America. Well who says camp is just for kids? I know as an adult I don’t, which is why we are proud of the fact this site sponsored the first session at Woodward at Copper last week. Adults shouldn’t be the only ones that get to have fun at camp and we made sure of that. Here’s a full week of camp in review.

Who likes prizes?

First day barn orientation.

Front flips from a 41 year old.

It’s all about progression and taking it back to basics.

Dropping next.

Cody getting down.

Age is only a number and Woodward proves that.

Campers getting their shred on.

We’re down with gluttony.

This isn’t the kind of pong you’re thinking it is.

Beer Pong! Winner won a 2012 Lamar Cranium.

Happy Campers!

Camper Grant giving a solid HIGH5 for the Highest High Five Contest.

Highest High 5 Winner Shalim with a 2012 Never Summer Evo. Not bad for his first time to camp and his first year shredding. FYI dude was doing backflip high five attempts.

Erika Vikander helping camper Lisa.

Guest pro Scott See from Ride Snowboards, Boa Technologies, Smith, and SixEleven Productions was on hand to get air aware.

Erika Vikander from Niche Snowboards, Akinz Clothing, and Gatorade was on hand to float some stylish spins.

Snowboard camper Grant won the TAP award and gets half off session 1 next year. He also snagged a new Burton Nug and Cartels from Burton pro Broc Waring.

Erika brought a new snowboard from her sponsor Niche to give away to the most improved female camper. Lisa charged hard the whole session and was riding an archaic LTD snowboard that looked like it fell out of the 1990′s. We decided that instead of just a snowboard we were going to hook her up. Scott See brought a gift card from Boa Technologies for 1 free pair of boots, and Forum had donated a pair of bindings. Camp is all about making memories and we definitely made a huge one for this camper.

Lisa freaking out that she won a full set up.

Tossing out numerous prizes from Aerial 7 Headphones, Nomis, Mistaken Productions, Steezie Beanies, No Way! Snowboards, Upstate. Clothing, Homeschool Snowboarding, and countless others.

Never Snake A Snaker! On hill rail jam winner stoked on getting this coaches jacket from Upstate. Clothing.

Shelby stoked on getting the runner up prize at beer pong from Aerial 7.

Check out the rest of the photos from camp in the gallery below.

Huge thanks to Woodward at Copper, all the companies that donated prizes, the guest pro’s Erika Vikander and Scott See, Brent Le Fleur for doing photographs, Ryan Sabol, Forest Miller, Cody Potter, Kevin “Cobra Bear” Lacy, and everyone else that made this possible.

Can I enter the High Five contest?????

That’s so sick one of your contests was a beer pong tourney. That might be the best way to give out a board. Pass out and wake up wondering how you have a brand new board next to you. That would be a good morning.

  7. Mom you’re too geriatric.
