Any movie that showcases creativity in features and riding is AWESOME in my book. Stackfooty is right on par with the rest of the Think Thank movies by offering a unique way of looking at snowboarding. Kudos to the boys for that.
Now what makes this movie unbearable is the horrible fucking soundtrack. I just decided to mute it and listen to metal instead and pray it sync’d up, unfortunately it didn’t. But alas I can deal with not having a great soundtrack. I will give them props for showcasing the finer parts of the Pacific North West and Colorado. Unfortunately like many of the other movies from this year it has regurgitated parts in it. Gus Engles section has stuff from Bad Ideas. But luckily its only a small portion of the flick.
Scott Stevens straight up destroyed in this movie, which makes me glad he had the ender. There’s tricks I didn’t think humanly possibly coming from him, such raw skate style talent. The level of jibbing in this movie is insane so many unique and interesting ways to jib. Lots of great tricks and a few bangers.
My dear god what is up with all the skate banana’s in this flick? Seriously that one mystifies me and all is like 80% of everyone on Libs payroll or something? Man it was banana overkill
Would I buy this movie? No simply because I can’t stand the intro edits and the sound track they’re just that fucking horrible and frankly some of the stuff did put me to sleep a bit. While it was cool seeing stuff from Stevens Pass and Snoqualmie I really wasn’t totally into the movie. The stoke was there to get me to want to jib more but over all its a movie and I’m happy I watched it and it wasn’t bad like Down With People. I’m sure the artsy people or tight pants crowd will love it.
