SIA Day One
For 37 years Las Vegas the giant adult funland was home to the quintessential trade show of the snow sliding community. Last year marked a turning point in the history of the show as it was the final send off and this year ushers in a new location and a new vibe. Were there broshakes, pro hos, pro bros, and silicon injected hotties that know nothing about snowboarding? There certainly were so sit back check out some pics from day one and laugh at what’s going down in Denver.
Nick one of the riders that will be featured in SixElevens new movie Dropping Hammers gives two thumbs up to using the Back Door.
Drew Fuller modeling some of the new Celsius Outerwear
Dan from Drop like to throw up the horns from time to time, this glove is METAL!
Another year another bad idea from Bitch Boards. Here they have their gauntlet S&M gloves. Complete with all the protection you need due to the fact you’re probably a window licker if you wear those gloves snowboarding.
The Ride booth keeps it real with a shop inspired theme. Thank you guys for remembering who the backbone of this industry is. Props to Ride for caring about snowboard shops.

i miss snowboarding………………. )=
What’s with the bataleon rocker? Is it a joke or have they joined in on the hype?
People said they needed to add rocker to their boards, so they put rocker on it literally. Still TBT, Still Cambered, still original.
Hi Angrysnowboarder,
Im interested in 2011 Bataleon…
Please post more pics of Airobic & Riot.
is nitro expanding their gullwing line. would like to see something shorter than 157 but not as jib oriented as the sub-zero. thanks man.
More Gullwing and 0 cambered decks from nitro for sure. One stiffer than the team as well.

Angry, somewhere in one of your posts you mentioned the “big 3″ as far as goggles are concerned. I wanted to post this there but I couldnt find it. Anyway could you go a little deeper with this? I think you named Oakley, Smith, and??? cant remember who else. Why are these the big three and how are they better than say a company like electric? I am getting ready to upgrade some of my gear, and would love your input here!
Dragon is the third one you’re thinking of. Oakley hands down wins in my opinion after seeing a lense get shot point blank with buckshot and not shatter I have the tendency to trust it, second is Smith. These are the two companies that are putting the most time intensive research into the technology. Dragon honestly I think sells just based on steez factor. Rest are nothing special.
Thanks for that info! I had no Idea about the buckshot thing, have to say thats a plus. I hear ya on the steeze factor with Dragon, they def bring it. Never seen any thing from Smith, local shop doesn’t carry the brand. Thanks!
