SIA Day 3 Recap
I sit here this morning fully refreshed since evidently I guess I passed out attempting to head out to the Hard Rock. So much for one last party oh well I didn’t come here to party I can do that on my own time.
High point of the day was getting to shake Todd Richards hand and say thank you for writing P3. That book has influenced me more in the last few years than anything else I’ve ever read. My whole family has read it now and understands why I’m doing what I’m doing.
Sounds outerwear is looking pretty solid not going to lie. Not super gangster image like the Technine outerwear. Nomis has lots of pastels. The T9 binding line is HUGE so many colorways. They do have a subtle 3 stage style rocker that their stoked on.
Palmer snowboards = going out of business what a crappy company.
Snagged a photo of Mike Olson in costume standing in the Never Summer booth that picture is fucking priceless.
Soldiers Brand outerwear has one of the coolest wrist gaitors ever.
32 boots still bulky as shit but with a new speed lacing system. Outerwear is a 30/30.
K2 always solid and everyone knows how I feel about that.
Volcom pissed off security and got shut down, haha you douches.
Skullcandy upgraded everything in their line up, looking sick. Also launching 2 seperate lines one for the big box stores of the world and one for smaller retailers. The smaller retailer line is the one with a few better features. Buyers from each can’t see the others catalogs. We’ll see how long this lasts.
Mervin booth never as crowded as I thought it would be in years past.
