Sessions Outerwear Studette Jacket Used and Reviewed

Have you ever found yourself walking around singing, “I’m a Lumberjack and that’s OK?”, what you haven’t? Well you probably should with this jacket cause you would be a lot cooler if you did. This was a late entry into the review series but we forced Zara to go out and pretend she’s down with being color matching. Here’s what she had to say.

Model: Zara Hickman

Garment: Sessions Studette Jacket

Resort: Breckenridge

Conditions: Sunny bluebird with typical preseason corn snow.

Size: Medium

Fit: As far as fit went, it was definitely fitted. The kind of fit I’d seek when heading down to happy hour with friends after we get off the hill. When bending at the waist to strap in, I felt it was tight and constricting through the shoulders and would have liked to have seen a little bit more leg room around the hips. Again, this is where I would consider this jack-ette to be apres-ski then ridable, I don’t have a killer wide stance on my deck but I still felt that the jacket didn’t want to stretch to my stance.

Waterproofing/Breathability: 8,000gm/8,000mm

Stitching: Stitching was good, the overall jacket is nicely made and I really like the look of it, however, storm guard seemed to have cut a few corners. Only the top snap really seemed to hold. The others could be pressed in and as easily released. Before take off for every run, I felt myself pressing in the storm guard so it wouldn’t flap and wave hi to those as I passed.

Pockets: Hello fuzzy pockets! Although I’d like to see a few more pockets on the coat, although with the tight fit, I’m not sure where they would have put them, putting your hands inside the fuzzy inside was half the fun of this coat.

Zippers: Front pocket zippers held well, would like to see a bit more of a zipper though, had to fumble with it to gain access to my cliff bar with ease.

Venting: Standard single zip pit vents. I had to use these after a five minute up hill walk, kept them open the entire time on snow in 30 degree sunny conditions.

Special/Hidden Features: Zip tag on the main front zipper is a whistle! Very fun when calling attention to yourself in the lift line. Although, I must caution those intrigued with this jacket, it is ill advised to speak with a lisp then blow the whistle… You may spray your friends in the process thus loosing those to which you would normally blow the whistle.

Rider in Mind: The girl that likes to have a well styled jacket.

Model: Zara Hickman

Personal Thoughts: Overall fun jacket. As is I’d wear it out with friends and for those who might have smaller hips then myself, take it for a test ride down the mountain and blow the whistle and let everybody know you’re there!

What They Say:Sessions Studette Snowboard and Ski Jacket, plaid is rad ! rock it with the zero pant.
