Pro Bono! Full Movie
NDIFFERENT presents a FREE snowboarding video “PRO BONO!” Two different worlds of snowboarding presented in the same video.
Its a different type of shred flick. Basically, it shows two lights. In one hand you have a group of US Snowboarding Rookie Team Members who were in Contention for the Olympics and traveled around the Grand Prix and Dew Tour Circuits for the entire month of January and then some, shredding 8 different resorts on the way with some powder in between. Then in the other hand, you have a different group of friends who all have jobs and did whatever they needed to do in order to buy the right toys, to get them to the right places in the deepest of times, or should we say the best of times, only to search & destroy the biggest backcountry booters in Colorado. With a splash of street jibs just for good taste.
Two different groups of AMs, from two different shred worlds, with only two things in common: They are all a bunch of Colorado natives who want to make a snowboard video during an economic financial breakdown. With no help from sponsors it left them with only one option, do it out of their own pockets. So what happens when you commit to making a snowboarding video with practically no budget? You take what you got and make what you can out of it.
The main equipment for the film was one used Panasonic HVX200a, a used two and a half legged tripod from what I believe is the 80s, a Sony HD touchscreen HandyCam with wide angle lens, a sony digital elph camera, a MacBook Pro (Which crashed and has since been rebuilt during the making of this film), a handful of portable external hard drives, the worlds most unreliable 35 ft RV, and an 04 Polaris 800 snowmobile with a rebuilt engine.
I believe it was Thomas Paine who once said “The harder the conflict the more glorious the triumph.” It certainly was not easy, but out of our own pockets and for the good of snowboarding we present to you PRO BONO! A movie about snowboarding.
