Pain doesn’t last forever but scars do

Times may change and people may change but scars last forever. I realized today that its been seven years since my life completely changed. I was digging through old photos and found one of myself right after I was released from the hospital. Funny to think I was ever this swollen.
This was right after I got the staples removed I believe.
Every day I wake up and I’m reminded of how I almost died. I wonder if I should be worried I’m flying out to go ride the resort I did this at.

well, I seem to remember you had something like your spleen removed after eating it hard in a poorly cut pipe…but what resort was it? (not that I have ever ridden the ice coast or plan to go)
please do tell us more, what was that scar all about?
