Lamar Snowboards 2012 Preview
The history of Lamar is kind of funny it’s had its ups and downs as a brand and most recently it’s been down. When you’re at the bottom and a new owner takes over there truly is only one way to go but up. For 2012 their offering three camber options traditional, Anti-Cam (3 stage rocker), and Mac Cam on the What model. The graphics are solid, the tech is inside these things, and reviews will be coming in the future. Thanks to Breckenridges Big Hit and Lamar Rep Rob Lucero for allowing me to come by while they were showing the new line.

The Click with Coldcocked Technology which changes the topsheet color when it gets cold. For this model it changes the color around the eye or the actual eye.
Big Hits Deets with the Cranium bonus points if you know who the characters in black and white are.
The What as in what the fuck is this graphic. Definitely for the pot smoker psychedelic.
The Fixx which also features ColdCocked technology. Because who doesn’t love a cold wet blanket?

The Fixx is using a graphic that’s REALLY similar to an Arbor one I believe from 1 or 2 seasons ago. A womens board iirc.

Don’t even know where to begin with that eagle/alien faced graphic. Still cool to see lamar trying to make some quality product though, look forward to reading those reviews.
So Lamar is going though a rebirth? Total newbie here so I have no bias either way. The 2012 models are the next gen or are the 2011? I’d give them a shot if the prices are right and people in the know give good reviews.
It’s next years gear and I’ll have some 2012 reviews coming up but you can read about the current years boards in some reviews I did.
If the Cranium is the same as last season for sure it’s gonna be my ride again!!!
I think the big difference is that last years had their full reverse camber from the center and this years is anti-cam which in my opinion is far better.
My first board was a lamar mission and looking into the 2012 lamar word which looks sick imo. As for quality and stability among other brands how would you rate lamar’s products post rebirth.
Wouldn’t touch the boots or bindings but the boards are solid. A lot of big companies come out of the same factory.
