I rode this board back in early February and I wasn’t overly impressed then. But I’ve noticed now with the more rockered boards I’ve ridden that maybe I wasn’t fully in tune with how it rode. So I’ve ventured back to take another look at it.
Board: K2 WWW Rocker
Bindings: K2 Sweater size large
Angles: 18 negative 15 goofy
Boots: K2 T1 DB size 10
My Weight: 165
Conditions: Calm in the middle of the snow storm we were having, light flakes falling.
Mindset: God damn fucking Mervin MFG. I hate you fuckers I need a fun board to ride.
Tunes: Iron Savior
Preconceived Notions: Well seeing as I had ridden it I figured what the fuck I’ll go do some pressing for retards. Plus I knew it would be soft and retardedly fun.
Flex: Bumping up to the bigger size definitely helped me out here. The flex is soft that I already knew but bumping up 3cm’s was a good choice for me plus it was a better binding choice this time around.
Stability: Its a jibstick its not really stable you feel everything but what more can you expect.
Ollies/Pop: The rocker makes it easy to roll back and load the tail to pop. Throwing 180’s was super easy as hell and that I really liked. Plus popping up on to the butter box was easy.
Butterability: Its solid for this as its flex is super conduscive to it.
Cruising: I really wouldn’t free ride with it but getting around to the park can be fun. I liked it as a dork around butter, throw cab 360’s, and 180’s off rollers.
Jibbing: Presses are super easy on this thing. It really is pressing for retards but man it makes it interesting and more fun.
Rider in Mind: Jib kid through and through.
Personal Thoughts: I think I need to pick up this 155 now. As I mentioned in the intro the more I ride rocker, reverse camber, negative camber, etc. etc. the more I become acustomed to it. I realized that once you change your style to its needs you’re golden.
Binding Compatibility: This is the binding built for this board, need I say more? Especially with my previous reviews of this binding?
Binding Adjustability: Its pretty much all on the fly except the heel cups and that is easy enough.
Straps: I can’t tell the difference between these and the regular formulas.
Highbacks: The new highback on these is tits money. The mesh on the outside gives added stiffness and support for driving through carves. While the softer inside lets it fold a bit while pressing. Super solid idea on K2’s part.
Binding Flex: Just past mid flex so more all mountain but you can jib on it no problems.
Ratchets: I never really have ratchet problems with these.
Rider in Mind: Just anyone thats looking for a solid do it all binding.
Personal Thoughts: I own the Formulas need I say more?
