One thing I wish I could have done while I was back home in NY was to attend the Here and There premier up in Buffalo. I think its always good to remember where you came from and support those that supported you back in the day. Even though I didn’t get to attend it my friends did and as they were slightly inebriated they didn’t have great things to say, something along the lines of I see better shit daily at Breck. What they failed to realize is that this movie is from WNY and some Vermont areas, it isn’t Breck. Lucky for me Chris Naugle the owner of Phatman stopped in and dropped off a copy of the movie.
Is this movie chalked full of bangers and big names? No, but it is filled with kids I’ve seen grow up over the years. I think the biggest name in the movie was a brief section from Maxwell Scott. What this movie is full of is a bunch of the heavy hitting locals from Kissing Bridge. The last time I saw Cody “Pork chop” Voit he was about 4 foot 10 and had the graveliest voice of anyone his size. Its good to see he’s still killing it with his style, I swear this kid was a mini JP Walker at age 13. Ricky Bueler was killing it as well and still having his KB style going strong. It was cool seeing up and comer Frank the Tank killing it, this kid is just so funny I don’t think I’ve laughed as much working the door at the bar as I did when talking with this little guy. The part that stood out to me was seeing Chris Naugle killing it at 31 years old, have to give props to a guy thats part robot. The sound track was blues/funk meets rap and was perfect for all the various riders. I also loved seeing the guy jib a over turned canoe that was tits money.
Mark Dangler is the man who ran the show behind this movie and I’d say he did a pretty good job showcasing the local talent. Transitions boardshop did a little write up on Mark you can read here.
