I had originally planned to head to Keystone and do some follow cam footage with the girls from Shred Betties. With the over abundance of snow and a few phone calls I decided to hit up Breck. Which was a fucking awesome idea, knee to waist deep in spots.
Six chair was open and it was puking snow minus the typical wind that Breck gets. Caught up with Quagmire and Homeless Sean. I knew it was going to be a good day when I got off the first chair and was still hitting spots of 6 plus inches of pow. Rode with them till they headed off to work then caught up with Zack and we rode for another hour and a half.
So after getting up six chair I fired up the helmet cam for a few laps. I was using the remote a bit more but I have yet to figure out where to put the remote for practical uses so I can just click and go. The battery is so sensitive to the elements as well. I had it shut off on me 4 times. Granted it was cold and windy but I had it against my body today and not out in my front pocket. I’m just going to have to suck it up and mount hand warmers to it and ghetto rig it.
I wish the cam hadn’t died when I was following Zach and he tried to pole jam a tree. This was so frigging comedic he’s coming in to the tree to pole jam it the wind whips through blows the snow off it. He tries to stop but skids sideways into the tree impales his chest on it and flips over the top of it into a windblown patch of snow that’s about mid thigh deep. Frigging hilarious.
