20 years, 2 decades, 7,120 days or however you look at it is a long time to be shooting photos of snowboarding. It’s also a long time to be a principal photographer for one brand. Jeff Curtes has been lucky enough to document snowboarding through its many different growths and after all that time he’s put together what he believes are his best or favorite shots into a book. That book is Chasing Epic.
Now for the younger generation this might not be something that captures there eye, but as snowboarding nostalgia grows with the History of Snowboarding FB group as well as the vintage snowboard market this is a coffee table book that will appeal to that segment of snowboarders. History is important and the visual representation that Jeff Curtes has shot gives us a glimpse into that certain time and moment. With an intro by Jake Burton that reads more like a casual conversation between him and the photographer it only further solidifies the moments Jeff has captured in snowboarding.
While it would be easy to rattle on and on about this book, I think for those that care they should just check it out. You can pick up a copy here.
