Bond Outerwear Hudson Jacket Used and Reviewed
Bond has the honor of being the first truly carbon neutral outerwear company. Don’t worry they’re not hippies and their designs aren’t influenced by granola or drum circles. But you can tell that they do have a distinct style that seems to be slightly European influenced. Here’s what our little tester that could Tylor had to say about this jacket.

P: Brent LaFleur Model: Brett Soderberg
Garment: Bond Outerwear Hudson Jacket
Resort: Breckenridge, Keystone, and A Basin
Conditions: At Keystone it was warm with a bit overcast. The conditions were Icy. At Breckenridge it was a nice warm sunny day with soft snow. And at A-Basin it was cold and snowing wit icy snow conditions
Size: Large
Fit: The sleeves are long which which is great for grabbing and staying warm. It has a boxy fit around the torso and fits well around the waist area.
Waterproofing/Breathability: 10,000/10,000
Stitching: Very nice, the stitching is well done and sturdy. The seams allow the jacket to fit perfectly around the arm pit and waist area, leaving just enough room to be comfortably snug.
Pockets: The trash pocket is very useful and comes in handy. All of the pockets are well positioned so that you can barely feel what is inside them. The mini storage pocket on the right hand side is useful for keys and other small items. The media pocket is very well positioned so that your headphones have the perfect amount of slack.
Zippers: The zippers are convenient because they zip upward to close rather than downward which provides much quicker pocket access. The zippers are all very sturdy and easy to zip, they have yet to get stuck.
Venting: Very nice, the vents are secure when closed allowing no cold air to seep through. And when they are opened they allow for great airflow and cool you down immediately when hiking or on a warm day.
Special/Hidden Features: The powder skirt buttons to the inside of the jacket, keeping it out of the way, but still helpful. And the trash pocket is extremely useful. Don’t litter people!
Rider in Mind: I would recommend any all-mountain rider who is looking for warmth and comfort that wants a boxy fit.

P: Brent LaFleur Model: Brett Soderberg
Personal Thoughts: The buttons are a bit useless, and distracting when riding. Also, the Velcro around the mouth is a bit tight and doesn’t always stay up on your face. Other than that I love the jacket, it is warm and has a lot of unique useful features.
What They Say: We were going to call this piece the “Magic Shell” but we anonymously received messages from an unnamed confectionary manufacturing concern regarding “misleading advertising” and “non-creamy toppings” and we were somewhat alarmed. Then we realized it was probably quite a non-issue since the warnings were all written in chocolate syrup on our windshields.
