Battling The FIS

Olympic Slopestyle for the 2014 games is happening. That much has been decided by the IOC and we’re just going to have to bare with it. What we don’t have to bare is the bullshit of the FIS being the governing body of snowboarding. Snowboarding is not skiing and such we should not be dictated by skiers on how things should be run. It is our duty as snowboarders to let our voice be known.
We Are Snowboarding or WAS a group founded by snowboarders is asking people to send this letter to the IOC.
Keep non snowboarders from dictating what and how we do what we love. Here’s a video from Halldor Helgason talking about FIS. Seriously 150 page rule book? Snowboarding was never about rules and we need to keep that around.

Why dont the dudes going for it pull themselves out. Cant be a comp if noones taking place.
Maybe start a fucking backlash to any company putting their riders in there? I dunno.
Non of this really matters to me. But! if it is such a big concern why are riders going? Why dont they just pull themselves out? Paychecks? Does it all come down to the almighty dollar?
I think it be better controversy if all the dudes said fuck it last second leaving the olympic commity screwed for 2 events.
I agree with timmy, why dont the riders just boycott the olympics? The olympics need snowboarding more than we need them. Fuck shaun white and his gold medals I don’t want to see his ugly mug on a pack of gum. But seriously a 150 page rule book? what the fuck there is only one rule in snowboarding and thats to have fun. Fuck the olympics. I think it would be awesome if all the shredders bailed on that shit.
