Who says camping is only for the summer? Academy killed it with their last camp and now they want to offer another chance at stoking people out at Boreal. Here’s the official release and video recap from the last session.

The 5th annual Academy Snowboards Camp at Boreal took on a new shape as 10-feet of Tahoe snow the previous week turned the mountain into one big powder-park! 65 campers came out to chuck themselves in the forgiving conditions and learn new tricks alongside their coaches and Academy Snowboards’ team riders Jonas Michilot, Chad Tarbell, Jordan Michilot, Will Bateman, and Dan Liedahl. Campers also enjoyed board waxing and detuning tips, a screen-printing clinic, 2012 Academy Snowboard demos, a mini shred contest, and received a ton of gear from the camp sponsors. From linking turns for the first time, to throwing up that ‘covershot’ powder slash, or stomping a backflip, every camper learned something new and went home with
good memories from the weekend shred camp!

With the massive amount of snow in Tahoe, Boreal has extended their season and Academy Snowboards will be putting on another camp May 14-15 for $199. The 2- day camp at Boreal Resort will be coached by Academy Snowboards’ pro riders and friends of Academy Snowboards. All skill levels are welcome as campers will be split into beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes so each shredder gets his proper
