Their Take: Ellis Snowboards

Posted by Angrysnowboarder On June - 30 - 2009

Two years ago I met Tony and Mark, the guys manning the Ellis Snowboard booth at SIA. Just a little company coming out of Southern California and doing boards and bindings. Chances are you’ve probably seen their ads in Snowboard Magazine. Check out what they have to say about the hardships of being a small brand, team riders, and being green. PooPdood Teaser

Posted by Angrysnowboarder On June - 29 - 2009

At just over 7 minutes I wouldn’t consider this a teaser but more of a mini movie or a webisode. Check out the beginning with the whole dry slope set up, this is probably going to be the future of snowboarding with this whole climate change thing that’s going on. If you’re from Utah here’s some love for you. Read the rest of this entry »

Celebrity Obsessions and Capitalization

Posted by Angrysnowboarder On June - 29 - 2009

So this past week has definitely sucked for celebrities with that whole death flu that’s going around and what not. Seems that old washed up singers and actors weren’t the only ones to be afflicted by it, but that it has mutated and attacked super pitchman and reality TV star Billy Mays. Does his death mean we’ll now see a company stepping up to capitalize on it and do some shameless promotion? Read the rest of this entry »

Nowamean Teaser

Posted by Angrysnowboarder On June - 28 - 2009

There’s a lot of urban in this teaser and I mean A LOT! From the looks of it I would say it’s Quebexico and these kids are showing off what they do best up there. Check it out. Read the rest of this entry »

Don’t Do This

Posted by Angrysnowboarder On June - 27 - 2009

Upstart companies are nothing new to me and some actually bring something to the table, but most, especially apparel companies honestly don’t bring anything relatively new to snowboarding. Add to that someone who feels the best way to promote their product is to tag a comment on to anything remotely board sports oriented on Facebook. That level of incompetence in marketing really pisses me off, especially when it happens on our Fan Page. Read the rest of this entry »

Wax and accessories are something everyone uses, and as it’s still an ancillary cost it hasn’t been cut out of peoples budgets. Sarah Cameron from Magical Go-Go and POM POM wax gives us their take on being a small accessory brand, being the only women’s specific wax company, keeping snowboarding fun, and various other issues in snowboarding. Check it out. Read the rest of this entry »

Ski Brands Why Hate?

Posted by Angrysnowboarder On June - 25 - 2009

Something I’ve encountered since I started snowboarding is the abundance of people that believe ski companies have no place in snowboarding. Whether it’s because they didn’t embrace snowboarding at the start or because they’re part of some huge conglomerate that has an “evil” board of share holders. Evidently people don’t grasp the concept of a company, but that’s another topic entirely. Read the rest of this entry »

See The Light Teaser

Posted by Angrysnowboarder On June - 24 - 2009

Another European movie with a song I think I’ve heard in 2 other teasers for this year. Check out the attempt at going for a double where the guy comes up short and implodes, doesn’t look like it was fun. Read the rest of this entry »
