Rider Interview Recap

Posted by Angrysnowboarder On September - 8 - 2010

The summer is winding down for all of us, kids are back in school, and pretty soon we’ll all be back to snowsliding for a few months. This past summer instead of focusing on interviewing companies I focused more on riders that I felt offered something to snowboarding. Whether it was their outlook on the industry or being sponsored each had their own insight. Here’s a little recap of who was interviewed and what they’re up to now. Read the rest of this entry »

Scott See Talks Fun and Stress In Snowboarding

Posted by Angrysnowboarder On August - 31 - 2010

What is there to say about Scott See that gives him a proper introduction? I honestly can’t put into words how awesome of a friend, ripper, and coworker he’s been to me since I moved down to Summit County. Whether we were doing hot laps together at Keystone or slinging Jarden products he’s always been Scott. He’s ambitious, hilarious, obnoxious at times, good hearted, and above all else a snowboarder. Having been there watching him progress, compete, and do his thing for the last few years this is by far one of the hardest intro’s to write for an interview with a truly amazing snowboarder. Yet here I am doing it and here you are about to read what he has to say. Read the rest of this entry »

Michelle Shea Lives in Danger

Posted by Angrysnowboarder On August - 24 - 2010

There’s something to be said about roshamboing with a girl to see who is going to death ride down a pine tree in the preseason. Most people wouldn’t want to jib something that sketchy that early in the season but Michelle was all for it. At that moment in time I realized this chick has the potential for bigger and better things, she might not have had the best season last year, but now she’s poised for a better season this upcoming year. Erika Vikander Is Killing It

Posted by Angrysnowboarder On August - 17 - 2010

I’ve followed Erika’s career for a while courtesy of my friend Diana Sciandra who helps manage the Shred Betties team. She’s gone from a relative unknown without any sponsors to a top contender at contests like the Cricket Campus Rail Jam, look for her to get into more high profile events and build her name. Here’s what she has to say about being a snowboarder. Read the rest of this entry »

Tyler Nybeck Is a Rider You’ve Never Heard Of

Posted by Angrysnowboarder On August - 10 - 2010

After spending an entire summer working with Tyler “Bones” Nybeck I knew I needed to give him a chance to talk about snowboarding. Sure ninety eight percent of you reading this will never have heard of this kid, but for those that read this you might get a better understanding to the passion that dwells inside those of us that want to chase the dream and become a sponsored rider. Tyler is doing just that and his energy for progression is infectious. This is his chance to shed some light on what it takes to give up something he’s passionate about to pursue the dream of snowboarding. Read the rest of this entry »

Nick Bilawsky Knows What Snowboarding Is About

Posted by Angrysnowboarder On August - 3 - 2010

The first time I met Nick was about 20 minutes after landing in Seattle and getting to the Cruise America RV rental in Everett. He was part of the group of guys I was going to be sharing an RV with at Kamp K2 for a few days. While all of us were there to shred and party Nick unfortunately was laid up with a bum knee, but when the sun went down was when he would shine. Never once did he not have a smile on his face for being at a private event he couldn’t slide sideways at. It’s been a few years since that long weekend and Nick’s become a solid friend to ride with and this year he filmed his first part with SixEleven. Here’s what one of the most positive people in snowboarding has to say. Read the rest of this entry »

Ian Smith Is Just One Big Kid and Loves To Shred

Posted by Angrysnowboarder On July - 27 - 2010

Ian Smith is just a big kid when it comes to snowboarding, I realized this after the first week I worked with him at Woodward. His smile and energy are highly infectious and the kids gravitated to him immediately due to his stoke level always being turned up to 11. That energy and stoke carries over to his riding and whether he’s throwing down huge spins or double chucking his energy and passion drives him. Ian has a lot to say about being one of Colorado’s native sons, snowboarding and filming. Here’s what he has to say. Read the rest of this entry »

Behind The Logo With Chris Damiani

Posted by Angrysnowboarder On July - 20 - 2010

Chris Damiani is a pretty sick artist with a ton of talent and future potential. He also snowboards pretty well too and has been known to steal his fashion sense from some Breckenridge locals from time to time.  Last year when the new site lay out dropped there was one noticeable focal point that everyone was captivated by, the logo. He was the mastermind behind it and here’s what he has to say about art and snowboarding. Read the rest of this entry »

Dom Luza One of Pennsylvania’s Finest

Posted by Angrysnowboarder On July - 13 - 2010

Last summer I bore witness to a kid spinning every way possible on to a bunch of various jibs courtesy of Dan Broadwell from Flour City Distribution. That kid was Dom Luza and he straight up destroyed it in that video, here we are a year later and he’s getting an interview. In that time he won the Transworld Trans Am finals and did some filming with Paul and the boys from bHappy. Read the rest of this entry »

Durell Williams Is A Hatin’ Ass Man Child That Shreds

Posted by Angrysnowboarder On July - 6 - 2010

When I asked Durell if he was down to do an interview he said fuck yes, when I sent it to him while up at Hood it helped him kill time other than going people fishing out his apartments window on a down day. Durell is definitely a kid that’s killing it in the Tahoe scene and turning heads. He filmed with bHappy again and has some guest appearances with Tahoe Dangerzone. Here’s what he has to say about using toothpaste as a lubricant, being a hatin’ ass man boy, and snowboarding. Read the rest of this entry »
