Binding Model: K2 Hurrithane
Binding Size: Large
Stance and Angles: Goofy, 21in wide, 15/-3
Board Used: Gnu Spam 157
Boot Used: Ride Fuse
Boot Size: 8
Rider Weight: 155lbs
Conditions: Late spring, some new snow here and there. With warmer temps.
Binding Adjustability: Everything is tool-less. The highback rotation and and forward lean are on the same tool-less bolt. The straps are on flip cams. Pop them and adjust. The toe strap has an independently adjustable lower strand so you can really dial in how it hits your boot.
Straps: Comfy and soft. With the toe straps adjustability you can make it fit perfect. The ankle strap conforms offer the bit really well and didn’t cause any unwanted pressure. It is on the softer side, don’t elect a ton of support.
Ratchets: Smooth glide on and easy release of.
Highbacks: This is supposed to be a soft and surfy jibby binding and the highback is a huge part of that. It offers little short in any direction. It really is just there enough to be there.
Binding Flex: Soft and jibby, it’s a noodle binding.
Ride: Smooth and fluid. It’s not a responsive ride, but achieves the ride it set out to really pretty well.
Rider in Mind: Jibster or lightweight beginner.
Personal Thoughts: I’ll never want to ride this binding. There just isn’t enough there. But if you want super soft bindings and are looking for the ultimate skatey and surfy soft binding this is one of the better options out there.
