Board: Endeavor Archetype
Camber Option: Hover Camber. A back-foot dominate camber.
Bindings: K2 Lien AT
Stance: 21.5 Wide 18 Negative 15 Goofy
Boots: K2 Thraxis Size 10
My Weight: 188lbs
Resort: Arapahoe Basin
Conditions: Cold temps, bluebird skies, no wind, and almost a foot of light blower Colorado powder.
Flex: With a flex around a middle of the road you get a board that is playful and lively. The nose has the most play and then the tail stiffens up. There’s a lot of torsional give as well.
Stability: This board will get bounced around in deep rutted out chop. In wide open bowls it’s a smooth stable ride. This is due to the softer nose.
Ollies/Pop: Be prepared to launch. With the offset camber profile you can really load this board up and pop. Sidehits, cliffs, snow bumps, etc. etc. it doesn’t matter you’re going to boost.
Butterability: That nose has a lot of play in it, just make sure you get the swallowtail up or you’re going to hook. Then again with this shape, why would you butter?
Carving: When on a groomer this board sets and edge and rips a carve. You can aggressively center flex this board and really drive through a carve as you get low and Eurocarve. This board rolls on edge and turns perfectly.
Rider in Mind: Someone in search of deep pow days.
Personal Thoughts: The tail on this board sinks amazingly allowing for optimal float. With it being one of the most blower powder days of the year I noticed how well this board shoots a rooster tail up like no other. This board is one of the best swallowtails I have ever ridden and is so well balanced.
