Board: Capita Warpspeed
Camber Option: Mountain V2 Profile. Reverse camber in the tip, regular camber under foot, zero camber in the majority of the tail, and finally just a little reverse camber right before the tail upkick.
Bindings: K2 Indy
Stance: 21.5 Wide 18 Negative 15 Goofy
Boots: K2 Thraxis Size 10
My Weight: 188lbs
Resort: Copper Mountain
Conditions: Sunny blue skies, slightly warmer than average temperatures, fresh snow in the trees that was light to heavy, and firm fast groomers.
Flex: Coming in with a stiffer freeride flex this board is a beast. As you would expect there’s a stiff nose and tail with a little play just inside the binding packs. The torsional flex is just a little bit noticeable.
Stability: If you ever wanted to ride a board that is highly stable and will run over anything in its path, then this is the board for you. It doesn’t absorb terrain, it just drives right over it. You will get bucked around in moguls or tight trees.
Ollies/Pop: The snap in this board takes a lot to initiate, but once you do, it will snap aggressively and give you some serious boost.
Butterability: Go as fast as you can and press as hard as you can.
Carving: The edge to edge transmission is a smooth easy transition. What I did notice was that this board doesn’t center flex aggressively so you are limited to long drawn out carves vs tight quick turns.
Rider in Mind: Someone with a big foot that wants to charge.
Personal Thoughts: This board is aggressive and will buck you around if you get into tight trees. It is designed for hauling ass and going fast. I will say this board was a bit too much for me and rode me hard.
