Board: K2 Ultra Dream
Camber Option: All Terrain Baseline with BC Shaping. Longer rockered nose into a long flat section starting before the front insert pack and going to the back and then a rockered tail.
Bindings: K2 Indy
Stance: 22.5 Wide 18 Negative 15 Goofy
Boots: K2 T1 DB Size 10
My Weight: 175lbs
Conditions: Mid day powder. Typical Colorado blower pow with overcast skies.
Flex: This board isn’t a stiff power twin which makes it very playful. The areas with the most abundant flex at the tips and center with the insert packs being the stiffest.
Stability: There is chatter in the tips due to the rocker and flex, but over all it’s a smooth stable ride that doesn’t buck you.
Ollies/Pop: The whole profile of this board lends itself to having amazing pop when in snow. You can just ride along and boost and know that you’re not going to sink as you initiate the skate style pop.
Butterability: The tip shapes really give way to a great platform for powder butters. Whether high speed or slow speeds you can just pop around and around. This makes this board highly fun for playing around on.
Carving: Never fear making a carve on a groomer as you get between in bounds powder patches. This boards sidecut allows you to not on grip the snow but rip a carve whether it’s a short radius turn or long drawn out one.
Rider in Mind: The powder freestyle guy that will be spinning off rollers and natural features into the white stuff.
Personal Thoughts: The possibilities with this board are endless. You can do powder freestyle, you can charge, and if you really feel up to it go hit some log jibs and release your inner lumberjack. By and large don’t sleep on this pow deck.
