Board: K2 Turbo Dream
Camber Option: All Terrain Baseline. A three stage rocker with a medium rise through the tip and a lower rise in the tail.
Bindings: K2 Indy
Stance: 22.5 Wide 18 Negative 15 Goofy
Boots: K2 T1 DB Size 10
My Weight: 175lbs
Conditions: Overcast skies, colder temps moving in, and firmer snow underneath.
Flex: This is a stiffer deck built more to charge than play around and hit everything. Softer in the nose stiffening up through the tail. The torsional give in the middle is just enough to allow you to get a bit of play when putting it on edge.
Stability: K2’s Harshmellow foam saves knees. It just absorbs chatter so well, this makes the board super stable.
Ollies: This board has pop and it’s very skate style. If you want to boost yourself over a tree, roller, small child? Well don’t sweat it this board will do what it needs to do.
Pop On Jumps: Jumps are not an issue with this board. Ride in, set up, and boost.
Butterability: The rocker is what really lets you get over on the tips. The board does fight you as you butter into it so be prepared to work for it.
Jibbing: Go fast, work harder, and hope you do the trick you want.
Carving: Ripping turns on this board is awesome. The sidecut lets you just lay over the board and leave big trenches. This board is designed to carve.
Rider in Mind: Someone that’s going to spend more time charging the mountain than playing in the park or attempting freestyle.
Personal Thoughts: This board never disappoints, it’s a board that is a bit more aggressive and just wants to pop harder, go faster, carve deeper, and slash more. This is a true all mountain freeride oriented board.
Comparable Boards: Jones Mountain Twin, Rossignol Angus, Marhar Axiom
