Board: K2 Fastplant
Camber Option: Freestyle Tweakend. Flat from the middle of the board out to the rise of the kicks where it blends the rocker zones making a stable transition point.
Bindings: K2 Indy
Stance: 22.5 Wide 18 Negative 15 Goofy
Boots: K2 T1 DB Size 10
My Weight: 175lbs
Conditions: Sunny blue skies and those superb conditions Colorado is known for.
Flex: This board is an all mountain freestyle beast. Softer tips make it playful while it stiffens up under foot to provide stability, while the middle softens up again to give it more play.
Stability: The boards stable to the point you can land jumps or hard off a jib and not feel like you’re going to wash out. The bamboo in the core keeps it lively but not damp.
Ollies: Have you ever taken a ride to boost city? What you haven’t? Well this board will get you there with plenty of snap to go around.
Pop On Jumps: You can hit a jump with this board and never have to worry about having the right snap off the lip. It’s smooth and stable enough to send jumps from small to large.
Butterability: Think about this it’s got rocker in the tips, Tweakend which gives more play, and softer flex in the nose and tail. If you can’t butter this, you probably need to up your skills. It spread buttery love all over the mountain.
Jibbing: As this is a true freestyle destroyer you can jib your little heart out. It doesn’t matter if you’re going fast or slow, it will lock into presses and slides, zeach with the best of them, and still want to do more.
Carving: If you want to rail a turn you can definitely rail a turn on this. Want to be more mellow and just do long drawn out carves? Go for it. The sidecut is proper for the all mountain freestyle nature of this deck.
Rider in Mind: The consummate all mountain freestyler that puts a lot of emphasis on the freestyle side of things.
Personal Thoughts: This board hasn’t changed since last year which as you can tell makes it an awesome pick for someone that wants to shred the whole mountain with a skate style. That 5 year warranty on the Bambooyah core is great for those that are hard on decks as well.
Comparable Boards: Rome Mod Rocker, Endeavor High Five, Interior Plain Project Honalee
