Board: Dinosaurs Will Die The Rat
Camber Option: Reverse camber. A mild center reverse camber.
Bindings: K2 Indy
Stance: 22.5 Wide 18 Negative 15 Goofy
Boots: K2 T1DB Size 10
My Weight: 175lbs
Conditions: Sunny blue skies, average temperatures, and just another Colorado park day where the snow wasn’t too firm or sticky.
Flex: Softer in the tips and stiffening up under feet. About what you would expect from a jib board of this nature.
Stability: Groomers are no problem with this board, but hitting more rutted out steeper terrain prepare yourself to be bounced around. It’s a jibstick that’s more suited to small hills and terrain parks.
Ollies: The skate style snap out of this board is ample enough to keep you satiated as you ride around the mountain boosting over everything in your path. Don’t let the softer flex fool you, there is snap.
Pop On Jumps: 30 feet or less is the ideal size for a jump with this board. Anything more and you’re going to risk not being able to land. The skate style pop off the lip lets you boost as needed.
Butterability: How do you like your butters? Oozing all over or firm and calculated? Because this board can do whatever you want between its tip shape and camber profile.
Jibbing: Here is this board strong suit. It locks into presses with ease and the flex is forgiving enough to recover from mishaps that do occur in the stunt park.
Carving: It’s a jib board that you can carve aggressively with if you want. This makes it fun for those days when you don’t feel like hitting every feature but instead want to harness your inner Yawgoon. So don’t hesitate to set an edge or push it into a Eurocarve.
Rider in Mind: The super playful skate styled rider that’s spending more time buttering and in the park than anything else.
Personal Thoughts: This board is always solid for jibbing and playing around on the mountain. Never once is it trying to be something it’s not, which makes it very meat and potatoes in its marketing efforts. So if you like jibbing, playing around, and small jumps this is ideal for that. If you don’t, you might want to upgrade to something stiffer from DWD.
